Job Description Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual who will lead Business Development and Sales. Person will be responsible for getting orders, identifying new business opportunities in the field of equipment manufacturing such as pressure vessels, cryogenic vessels, separators , heat exchanger, waste heat recovery boilers, column, reactors, furnaces etc. The candidate will possess a proven track record in business development / sales within the heavy equipment manufacturing sector, exposure to end-customers from Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Metals & Mining and a strategic mindset to navigate complex markets.
Job Description
Your Role/Responsibilities:
Utilizes product and market knowledge to identify prospective customers for selling product(s), services, parts, solutions etc.
Have knowledge and analytical thinking to support in building the strategy for penetrating in new market space
Source of market information like market price, competition landscape, vendor base etc.
Have ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address market demand.
Uses internal and external sources for product and market intelligence.
Be able to create awareness among all internal & external stakeholders of the offerings of Durgapur Factory
Work effectively in a team environment with Commercial Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Project management to ensure the most efficient use of all resources.
Get the Durgapur Factory registered / qualified as supplier for target customers
Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation
Cultivate and maintain trust and value based long term relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
Identify and define a portfolio of potential customers and engage with them to expand the customer base.
Collaborate with technical teams to understand client needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
Maintain and update project and opportunity information within CRM system and manage the Inquiry to Order (ITO) process for assigned accounts.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Accountable for Order Booking, margin% and ITO cash
Ability to negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Engineering Graduate or equivalent degree from an accredited university or college with 8+ years of relevant experience; MBA will be added advantage.
Previous experience in leading the Business Development / sales of industrial equipment manufacturing company
Desired Characteristics:
Working experience with End Customers, EPC Contractors, Project Management Consultants and Technology Providers.
Knowledge on various international and national standards and codes for equipment design, manufacturing, quality requirement specially in Cryogenics , Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Metals & Mining
Good technical understanding of industrial equipment and manufacturing processes.
Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and responsive skills.
