The Opportunity
BETA is a self-clearing securities processing solution for wealth management firms. Built on years of expert knowledge and hands-on experience, BETA provides critical back-office controls including corporate action management, middle office exception management, and front office account management and trading tools for advisors.
We are seeking an experienced
Lead Associate, Software Engineering -DevOps Lead with minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in DevOps. The ideal candidate will have expertise in GLU, Terraform, and AWS, along with proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python. You will be responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing complete CI/CD pipelines on GLU, IAC with terraform for AWS.
About The Team
Reporting to the
Senior Manager, Technology Development, this role is part of a Scrum team for DevOps catering to Beta Organization that develops customer facing cloud hosted application(s). This role necessitates meetings and require heavy collaboration within and across teams that are spread across geography. Our business model is hybrid, working from our Bangalore campus.
What You'll Do
- Design, architect, and implement CI/CD pipelines on AWS and on-premises (hybrid) environments.
- Write Infrastructure as Code using frameworks such as Terraform.
- Build and manage Docker images, ensuring modularity of image builds.
- Manage production-level infrastructure, clusters, and monitoring tools.
- Identify opportunities to reduce time to delivery, rework, and total cost of ownership while improving system requirements.
- Communicate effectively with teams such as Dev, QA, TechOps, and CloudOps
Your Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- At least 7 years of experience in a DevOps role.
- Hands-on experience with GLU, Terraform, and AWS.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
- Experience with modern application deployment practices.
- Ability to design, architect, and implement complete CI/CD pipelines on GLU for application deployment in AWS and on-premise (hybrid) environments.
- Experience with GitLab for code repository and CI/CD; Jenkins is a plus.
- Experience in writing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Experience in building Docker images and ensuring modularity of image builds.
- Experience managing production-level infrastructure, clusters, and monitoring tools.
- Previous experience building highly scalable SaaS or PaaS solutions in an AWS production environment.
Desired Experience
- Experience with AWS maintaining production-grade applications.
- Experience in containerization and orchestrating containers (Kubernetes, AWS-ECS, AWS-Fargate).
- In-depth knowledge of Linux environments.
- AWS Solutions Architect or AWS DevOps Certification is an advantage.
- Experience working in heavily regulated industries or environments like the financial sector.
