Job Description: The Paid Search Media Manager owns all strategic planning and campaign execution involving paid search media campaigns. This position is both strategic and tactical, requiring the individual to independently generate insights for the campaigns in his/her scope and implement campaigns to meet and exceed the campaign objective. The Manager serves as the primary point of contact for the client and internal media teams he/she supports for all items regarding paid search media. The Manager will provide expertise in optimization strategies and guidance on best practices related to client communications and internal strategy.
We will rely on the Manager to provide thought leadership, and build strong relationships, both internally and externally, with our valued clients and partners. Manager will have a direct line of communication to senior members of the team reporting to the Paid Search Media Director.
Manager must possess a strong work ethic, creative thinking and problem solving, and a high attention to detail. He/she must be curious about media performance drivers and enjoy working with passionate/dedicated SMEs.
Key Responsibilities:
. Deep experience within paid search platforms - specifically Google Ads and Microsoft Bing
. Experience with YouTube Video, GDN, Discovery and subsequent optimizations
. Execute, manage, and optimize paid search media campaigns to meet or surpass campaign goals
. Develop, grow, and maintain client and partner relationships
. Manage multiple campaigns across a variety of platforms, clients and products at the same time
. Assist with creating proposals for new business or organic growth (ex: provide strategies and tactics forecast spend and clicks, etc.)
. Work with account managers to develop client decks and status reports
. Partner with Analytics team on campaign measurement share reporting and insights with clients detailing performance, campaign optimizations, and new opportunities
. Provide recommendations and execute strategies for Campaign Structure, Targeting, Creative, Betas and other facets of paid search in accordance with client goals for Google and Microsoft Ads channels
. Oversee A/B testing with various paid media elements, revising tactical approaches as observations are noted
. Troubleshoot issues and oversee campaign QA process
. Attend and participate in client meetings, lead paid search discussion
. Understand client goals, collaborate with internal team and execute strategies to exceed defined goals
. Coordinate assets and tags with vendors and ensuring campaigns are delivering against KPI's and proactively managing campaign execution
. Be detail-oriented, very organized, able to multi-task, and able to work well under pressure
. Omnichannel experience/ perspectives (experience in working alongside other channels to generate results for clients)
. Excellent writing skills that can communicate technical aspects of a paid search account in layman's terms
. Possess demonstrable experience working in both B2B and B2C environments (specific client experience within the FinServ sector is a plus)
. Understand and effectively communicate EXLs value prop
. Understand and stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and internal product development efforts
. Leverage first party data for paid search account targeting and insights
. Experience with forecasting and heavy quantitative analytics
Qualifications:
. 7+ years of experience in directly managing and optimizing paid search campaigns
. Understanding of ad ops tasks related to paid social buying
. 5+ years of experience working directly in YouTube Video, GDN, Discovery and subsequent optimizations
. 4+ years in a paid search lead role, internal management and client facing
. Proficiency in Excel required. Experience in Google Analytics, Tableau a plus.
. Complete understanding of the paid social supply chain
. Experience in paid search within insurance and financial serve clients is a plus
