Roles And Responsibilities For Data Governance
- Create and update a comprehensive business glossary that defines key terms, data elements, and their usage to ensure consistent understanding across the organization.
- Partner with stakeholders to create, implement, and enforce data governance policies and standards, resolve data conflicts, and ensure cross-functional alignment on data practices.
- Regularly evaluate data quality metrics, ensure compliance with policies, and work with data stewards and custodians to address and resolve data issues.
- Oversee data quality within specific domains, enforce governance standards, and act as a primary contact for data-related queries within those areas.
- Establish and maintain technical controls for data, manage access permissions, and ensure secure data storage and ongoing data maintenance.
Candidate Profile
- Experienced Business analyst with diverse experience using a variety of tools (3-8 years).
- Expertise in designing and implementing robust data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Proficient in ensuring data accuracy, managing data lineage, and maintaining regulatory compliance across data assets.
- Hands-on experience with leading data management tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica) and a solid understanding of data infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to align on data governance initiatives and drive adherence to data policies.
- Strong skills in identifying data quality issues, implementing effective solutions, and driving continuous improvement in data management practices.
- Knowledge on asset management data types (e.g., portfolio data, market data, client data) and their specific governance requirements.
- Good to have knowledge on SQL and Snowflake
