Position Description
Must have:
- Must have 10-12 yrs of experience in IT industry with at least 3 yrs of Service Delivery in complex; demanding 24x7 environments
- Administration of databases throughout production DB life cycles.
- Design and develop logical and physical db structures from customer requirements.
- Providing guidance in creation and modification of standards, best practices and procedures.
- Must be willing to work in UK/ US business day time zones and flexible to changes in work schedules
- Must have experience with Cloud administration
- Must have experience with Unix administration.
- Work experience on configuring Cluster, Data replication and Disaster Recovery
- Technically skilled in performance tuning database performance and enhancement.
- Experience in oracle enterprise manager for day to day monitoring, patching and reporting.
- Good Experience on Container and Pluggable databases with Oracle 12c and 19c version
Must have experience in Postgres DB skill
- Handling major DB crisis, incidents, deployments
- Must have had prior hands on experience in at least 3 of infrastructure areas - Oracle cluster/replication/high availability solutions/DR
- Strong working experience on Oracle RAC including ASM/Grid infrastructure.
- Excellent written; oral communication skills; credibility; interpersonal skills
- Must have worked in similar capacity at an MNC in Outsourcing/ technology and consulting services firm
- Good knowledge of business continuity planning and disaster recovery practices
- Mentoring team members ,upskilling, reskilling on need basis.
Good to have:
- Must have financial acumen; budgeting; reducing cost of operations; knowledge of Capex; Opex; resource costing
- Good to have knowledge on Kubernetes administration.
- Ability to plan,create,manage and implement the execute plan of migration and upgradation projects
- Vendor management experience
- Ability to work effectively in diverse; virtualization and cloud computing and also db migration to cloud.
- zero downtime upgrades & migration for both on-premises and cloud env.
- Able to work in an unstructured environment and bring structure to a problem; synthesize issues.
- Experienced in managing conflicts.
- Strong technical & team leadership skills
- Flexible to work on 24/7 rotational shifts
- On call schedule and week end change schedule participation
- Innovation : Tech talk presentations & white papers
- High end Technical certification specific to clustering,Golden gate replication & cloud
- Develop automation resource assets and resuse across BAU.
- working collaboratively with system/storage/network/application administrators during MI/crisis and major deployments.
- Must be conversant with OEM
- Possess ITIL
