Site Context & Job Purpose
The Automation Analyst is responsible for the management of data across numerous platforms and formats to deliver insights to the Chief Automation Officer and global Automation team.
Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Automation Strategy and Intelligence, the Analyst will play a key role in the shaping and execution of strategic priorities for the future of GXO by delivering data-driven insights in real time, as well as managing ongoing reporting and analytics needs for the team. The analyst will work with key stakeholders from numerous departments across the organization, including, but not limited to: Finance, Operations, Comms & Marketing, Investor Relations and Human Resources.
The location for this role is flexible, with expectations of flexibility on the analyst's part to support the Automation team, which spans time zones.
Key responsibilities
Enhance and maintain the global Automation Data and Catalog Operationalization (ADACO) database on Bubble.
Create scalable, repeatable process and structure relating to Automation data flows and capture where none exists, while improving existing processes as needed.
Take ownership of automation data improvement projects from start to finish, ensuring deliverables are designed to meet organizational objectives.
Process and synthesize large quantities of data to uncover actionable insights and continuously apply these back into the planning, design and execution of strategic automation projects.
Manage data flows for all automation reporting, including but not limited to:
ADACO global database
Monthly reporting and financial results reconciliation
Preparation of presentations for senior leadership and sales team
Quarterly investor-facing reporting
Media and capital markets audiences
Various ad hoc reporting initiatives as needed
Develop foundational data to support AI product development and global deployment.
Support R&D and Best-In-Class workstreams by deriving actionable insight from global data sources.
Partner cross-functionally to develop and maintain data-backed narratives for internal and external consumption, ensuring alignment of perspective.
Identify, collect and maintain repository of competitive intelligence.
Take notes on critical meetings as needed.
Travel up to 10-15% of the time.
Experience Required
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in the following areas:
Delivering data-driven business insights to support decision-making at the highest level.
Preparing and analyzing huge quantities of data into executive-level reporting, and presenting to senior leadership
Building and managing databases, specifically hierarchies in SFDC and PowerBI.
Synthesizing data inputs from a variety of sources, qualitative and quantitative.
Auditing data and championing quality control.
Producing financial work product ideally for a publicly traded company.
Creating processes and routines that satisfy strategic business objectives over a period of time.
Working as part of a global team.
Managing stakeholders across business functions.
Training LLMs or other AI models with diverse data sets.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional history with demonstrably comparable skills and experience.
Skills Required
Expert database building and design, including strong understanding of relationship structure, with heavy Bubble experience.
Expertise in Excel and SQL, including application building.
Superb analytical skills, problem-solving acumen and critical thinking.
Results-driven approach, with a bias for action and a willingness to roll up your sleeves.
Typing speed of 100+ WPM.
Fluent in English; other languages a plus.
Enormous curiosity and a desire to be part of something larger than you are.
