Job description- Lead- Account Payable

Location: Gurgaon

Department: Finance & Accounts

Job Description

  • Monitor all vendor payment agreements to find discounts that can be used to reduce invoice amounts.
  • Verify vendor accounts, pay vendors and resolve purchase order, invoice or payment discrepancies.
  • Monitor payroll expense claims, including salary advances and overtime payments.
  • Reconcile account transactions with the general ledger.
  • Perform recordkeeping and prepare financial reports
  • Preparation of Bank reconciliation statement on weekly basis.
  • Advanced computer skills in Accounting, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Good understanding of accounting terms and bookkeeping.
  • Assisting CPA with year-end closing.
  • Preparation of any other report time to time assigned by management.
  • Any other task associated with the work profile.
  • Ready to work in US time zone.
  • Having US accounting experience is an added advantage.
  • Hands on experience on Bank/vendor/customer and GL Account reconciliation.
  • Advanced computer skills in Accounting, QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, and Excel, NetSuite.
  • Having US Payroll experience is an added advantage.

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role
  • Advanced competency in accounting and business management software
  • In-depth knowledge of accounts payable principles, accounting standards and industry regulations
  • Extensive experience in account reconciliation
  • Great time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as an Accounts Payable Specialist

Additional Information

  • Strong Background in Accounting with AP/Accounting preferred.
  • Tech savvy and good knowledge in Net Suite, QuickBooks and Excel.
  • Self-Motivated, dependable and can work independently.
  • Able to multi-task and manage multiple stakeholder and team members.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Good communication skills with experience in US based organisation is highly desirable.
  • Able to work from 8 hours a day Monday-Friday with stretchable working hours if required.
