Job Title: Landscape Architect (2-4 Years of Experience) with Permaculture Expertise

Job Summary:

SankalpTaru Foundation is seeking a talented and motivated Landscape Architect with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces, with a focus on incorporating permaculture principles into designs. This role involves designing, planning, and managing a variety of landscape projects, including residential, commercial, and public spaces, with an emphasis on ecological design and sustainable land use.

Key Responsibilities:

#Design & Planning: Develop innovative landscape designs that integrate ecological principles, sustainable materials, and permaculture farming techniques.

#Permaculture Integration: Apply permaculture principles to design projects, including the creation of edible landscapes, water management systems (rainwater harvesting, swales, ponds), and soil regeneration practices.

#Site Analysis & Assessment: Conduct thorough site assessments, including climate, topography, soil quality, and existing vegetation, to inform design decisions.

#Sustainability Practices: Incorporate sustainable practices such as native plantings, water conservation, habitat restoration, and energy-efficient design into projects.

#Collaboration: Work closely with other team members (designers, engineers, urban planners) and clients to develop cohesive, practical, and environmentally responsible designs.

#Project Management: Assist in the management of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Oversee site preparation, construction, and installation phases.

#Leadership Meetings: Meet the leadership team to understand their vision, needs, and goals for the project. Provide professional recommendations and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

#Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and present design documents, including drawings, renderings, and reports, to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications:

#Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.

#2 to 4 years of professional experience in landscape architecture, with a focus on sustainable and ecological design.

#Proven knowledge and experience in integrating permaculture principles into landscape design (e.g., edible gardens, natural water management, regenerative agriculture).

#Familiarity with industry-standard design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, GIS, etc.).

#Strong understanding of sustainable materials, native plants, and environmentally responsible construction practices.

#Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.

#Strong attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and a passion for environmental stewardship.

#A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Skills:

#Certification or coursework in permaculture design.

#Knowledge of 3D modeling or rendering software.

#Experience with green infrastructure and low-impact development (LID) techniques.

#Understanding of local zoning, permitting processes, and environmental regulations.
