Overview

The role of a Labor Camp Coordinator is vital to the smooth operation and management of labor camps within the organization. The coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the labor camp, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing support to the laborers residing in the camp. They play a crucial role in creating a safe, organized, and comfortable living environment for the labor force.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the labor camp.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations.
  • Manage the allocation of housing units and facilities to laborers.
  • Respond to and resolve maintenance and repair issues in a timely manner.
  • Implement security measures and emergency protocols within the camp.
  • Communicate and collaborate with various internal departments and external agencies.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are upheld.
  • Address laborers concerns and provide support for their well-being.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of camp-related supplies.
  • Prepare regular reports on camp activities, incidents, and expenditures.
  • Organize recreational and educational activities for the laborers.
  • Train and supervise camp staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of laborers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in camp management, facilities coordination, or similar roles.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, health, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and camp management software.
  • Understanding of cultural diversity and sensitivity to laborers needs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to perform camp inspections.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and inventory management.
