Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco ISE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network infrastructure design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This role requires proficiency in configuring and managing network devices. The Network Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, scalability and security of network infrastructure. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and ready work in flexible timing.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with other teams to design and implement network policies and solutions.
Conduct regular network audits and implement best practices for network performance and security.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
Participate in the evaluation and testing of new hardware, networking technologies.
Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in network engineering roles, with a focus on Cisco technologies
Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Technical Skills & Competencies
Design & Deployment: Work with stakeholders to develop and implement Cisco ISE-based policies for device management, security posture assessment, and policy enforcement.
- Configure and implement network security protocols (eg, RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X, etc.) in Cisco ISE.
- Configuration & Integration: Integrate Cisco ISE with Cisco as well as other solutions (eg, Cisco DNA Centre) and third-party technologies (eg, Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP,etc.). Ensure integration with network infrastructure devices, including Switches, Routers, wireless controllers, Firewalls, and VPN gateways (Cisco, Nokia, Aruba, Fortinet, etc.).
- Configure and manage identity stores, authentication policies, authorization profiles, and network access policies.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Monitor and troubleshoot Cisco ISE systems to ensure reliability and optimal performance. Perform root cause analysis of network issues and provide solutions for Cisco ISE-related problems.
- Regularly update and patch Cisco ISE deployments to ensure system security and functionality.
- Security & Compliance: Work with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Implement security policies and guidelines for user authentication, device profiling, and access control.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain up-to-date documentation for all Cisco ISE configurations and integrations.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on the status of Cisco ISE systems, security posture, and policy enforcement.
