Role Summary
Deliver effective learning solutions to the business in accordance with Group L&D requirements. Evaluate the impact of the solutions against agreed outcomes, which may include one or more components (e.g., new starter training, refreshers and upskill sessions, product or systems training and telephony soft skills) to support EQ's people, across all job levels, in developing the skills required for their role. Trainers may be required to support learners with additional sessions or coaching to fully embed the training received.
Trainers should continually look for improvement to current offering, recommend modifications/amendments to enhance training materials, resources, and tools, whilst ensuring the material content is current and up to date. There is a requirement to support peers, collaborate with key stakeholders across the organisation and assist/lead business projects.
Training is delivered in a variety of methods, which supports the overarching business strategy.
Core Duties/Responsibilities
Scope Training Needs
- Has an in-depth knowledge of own discipline (e.g. instructional design and ability to effectively deliver sessions) and basic knowledge of related disciplines to demonstrate credibility with learners and stakeholders.
- Research and develop learning solutions to support EQ's people development needs to ensure our people are appropriately trained, coached, and motivated so that their individual and collective performance meets the current and future performance of the business.
- Understands the business and EQ's products/services, to be able to support various teams with training requirements.
- Support organisational changes within the business, providing training support.
- Work with subject matter experts to understand and obtain knowledge to ensure appropriate transfer of learning.
Learning Delivery
- Deliver training in accordance with business and regulatory requirements both scheduled and ad-hoc. Provide support for new recruits after induction training, if applicable.
- Champion varying methods of learning delivery (self-serve, live, virtual, etc.).
- Be an advocate for EQ online training and all compulsory training requirements that the business must implement, develop and monitor.
Evaluate Courses and Solutions
- Work collaboratively within Group L&D, supporting peers and proactively seeking ways to share best practice and knowledge, providing support for colleagues with less experience.
- Partner with relevant business partners and stakeholders to maximise customer and client satisfaction, both internally and externally.
- Undertake regular Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify training gaps.
- Review evaluation feedback forms to identify training requirements and knowledge gaps.
- Ensure continuous evaluation of solutions is conducted to ensure fit for purpose and value add is clear.
- Maintain all training records and digital content.
