Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kubernetes Administrator to join our team. As a Kubernetes Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters to support our organization's applications and services. You will work closely with our development, operations, and security teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our Kubernetes infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments (development, testing, production).
- Implement best practices for Kubernetes cluster security, including RBAC, network policies, and pod security policies.
- Configure and optimize Kubernetes resources such as deployments, services, ingress controllers, and persistent volumes.
- Monitor the health and performance of Kubernetes clusters using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Kubernetes Dashboard.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes infrastructure, networking, and application deployment.
- Automate tasks and workflows using Kubernetes APIs, CLI tools, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
- Collaborate with development teams to containerize applications and deploy them to Kubernetes clusters.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) in Kubernetes environments.
- Stay updated on Kubernetes releases, security vulnerabilities, and best practices to continuously improve our infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Kubernetes Administrator or similar role, managing production-grade Kubernetes clusters in a cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Certification in one or more of the following: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, components, and ecosystem, including Docker, etc, kube-proxy, and CoreDNS.
- Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, containers), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and container networking.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or Go.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
