Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Key Account Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing key accounts, ensuring the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. This role requires a deep understanding of the packaging and preferably managed FMCG accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients and grow the account within existing, new categories , geographies and subsidiaries.
  • Prepare a clear account plan for short term, long opportunities and pursue it with the customer.
  • Build relationships with key decision makers , influencers and advisors.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements and provide consultative solutioning.
  • Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives for today and future needs.
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales with existing customer referrals.
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
  • Work as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts.
  • Develop strategic plans to achieve account growth and client satisfaction.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure client requirements are met and issues are resolved.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to align on account strategies.
  • Coordinate with customer support and service delivery teams to ensure smooth operations and high client satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about new materials, solutions, market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profit and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure timely contract renewals and long term contacts .
  • Reduce customer churn.

Skills & Experience in:

  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Understanding client needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Aligning account strategies with overall company goals.
  • Negotiating contracts and terms to benefit both the company and the client.
  • Handling objections and closing deals effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Presenting to clients and internal stakeholders persuasively.
  • Analyzing account performance metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Identifying trends and patterns to forecast future needs.

Qualifications:

  • Masters in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 8-12 years of experience in key account management within the FMCG or Packaging industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key accounts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite & G Suite.
