Basic Functions:
As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and nurturing the company relationships with life science clients in the biotechnology sector. Your primary goal will be to sustain and grow our revenues through strategic management and sales initiatives.
Duties:
Client Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with life science customer in allocated territory.
- Act as the main point of contact for all key client matters, anticipate the client's needs, and work within the company to ensure deadlines for client deliverables are met.
- Manage and solve conflicts with clients, ensuring that all issues are addressed effectively, and that client satisfaction is maintained at the highest level.
Sales Strategy:
- Develop a thorough understanding of the life science market, trends, and issues to effectively align our products and services with the client's needs.
- Create and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base in the biotech industry.
- Collaborate with distributors to identify and grow opportunities within territory.
Account Planning:
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement account plans that drive the attainment of critical business objectives.
- Evaluate and report on the progress of account plans and sales strategy effectiveness.
Market Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
- Negotiation and Closure:
- Lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in science or related field
- Preferably with 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in the life science or biotechnology industry (Fine Chemicals)
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
