Over the last 5 years, we have been able to serve more than 15000 clients across India. We offer fashionably designed, contemporary basics for men, women, and kids that are produced in India.
Roles & Responsibilities:
As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for managing merchandising activities related to knitwear products for our company. Your duties will involve
- Fabric Sourcing: Assist in identifying potential fabric suppliers/vendors through market research and networking.
- Supplier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers/vendors to obtain quotes, samples, and negotiate prices and delivery terms.
- Order Processing: Support the team in placing orders with selected suppliers/vendors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining fabric inventory records, including tracking incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with design, production, and quality control teams to ensure alignment on fabric requirements and specifications.
- Vendor management, cost negotiation, and collaboration with various departments to achieve business objectives. Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, lead times, and quality requirements. Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and quality improvements. Collaborate with the Sourcing Manager to expand the supplier base and diversify sourcing options.
- Quality Control: Establish and implement quality control procedures to ensure knitwear products meet specified standards and requirements. Conduct regular quality inspections at supplier facilities and address any issues or deviations promptly. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Cost Management: Analyze and negotiate production costs to optimize pricing while maintaining quality standards. Monitor and manage production budgets and cost targets, reporting any cost variances to the Sourcing Manager. Identify cost-saving opportunities and work with suppliers to implement cost-effective solutions.
- Order Management: Manage and track purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in order placement and shipment. Coordinate with suppliers to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines. Resolve any logistical or operational issues that may impact the timely delivery of goods.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulations, including ethical and environmental standards. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to sourcing, contracts, and supplier performance. Collaborate with the Compliance team to address any compliance issues and implement necessary improvements
Requirements:
- Education: Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Textile or Fashion Design, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with suppliers/vendors and internal teams.
- Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail in fabric inspection, order processing, and documentation.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for data entry, communication, and documentation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 20,000.00 - 25,000.00 per month
