Job Overview:
We are seeking an organized and proactive Expeditor to join our engineering team in the oil & gas sector.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of materials and equipment to meet project deadlines, considering Vendor's PO requirements and having a good coordination with other functions and departments in the organization. You will collaborate with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and logistics teams to resolve delays and ensure that projects are executed on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and experience in supply chain management within the oil & gas or engineering sectors.
All these activities will follow internal procedures and instructions of the Company that will be stated by the department in the HQ.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Timely Delivery: Monitor and expedite purchase orders, ensuring materials and equipment are delivered according to project schedule and internal protocols.
- Supplier Communication: Maintain regular contact with vendors to track the status of orders, resolve any delays, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Progress Monitoring: Track the progress of manufacturing and fabrication of ordered items (Vendors Purchase Orders, availability of raw materials at Vendors workshops, progress of manufacturing, ), ensuring adherence to agreed timelines and specifications.
- Vendor Performance: Evaluate supplier performance in terms of on-time delivery and escalate issues as necessary.
- Coordination with Logistics: Work with logistics and shipping teams to ensure smooth coordination of transportation and delivery processes, both domestically and internationally.
- Expediting Reports: Prepare and distribute expediting reports detailing order status, expected delivery dates, and any potential delays or challenges according to company orders.
- Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve any issues that may impact the delivery timeline, including production delays, quality issues, and transportation challenges.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with procurement, engineering, project management, and quality assurance teams to align delivery timelines with project milestones.
- Documentation Checking: Ensure all documentation, such as invoices, shipping documents, and certificates, are complete and accurate for compliance and project close-out purposes.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate potential delays or cost overruns.
Technical Skills & Competencies:
- Supply Chain Knowledge: Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, and supply chain processes, particularly in the oil & gas or related heavy engineering industries.
- Material Knowledge: Familiarity with materials and equipment used in oil & gas projects, including piping, valves, pumps, electrical equipment, and fabricated items.
- ERP Systems: Familiar with using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) to track orders and update the procurement database with real-time information following them strictly.
- Shipping & Logistics: knowledge of international shipping terms (Incoterms), customs procedures, and transportation processes is highly beneficial.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse potential delays, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Project Management: Basic understanding of project management methodologies to align material delivery with project schedules.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
- Data Management: Experience in managing and analysing expediting reports, delivery schedules, and supplier performance metrics.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in expediting, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the oil & gas or heavy industrial sectors.
- Previous experience working with suppliers and vendors on large engineering or construction projects is an advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience using ERP or procurement software systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
Personal Attributes:
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Language Skills:
