EHS Officer at Japanese MNC - Bagodara Ahmedabad Salary: 25 -35k + Food + Travelling facility + Mediclaim
The Junior EHS Officer will assist in the implementation and maintenance of the company's environmental, health, and safety programs. This role is crucial in ensuring that all operations comply with legal and company EHS standards, promoting a safe work environment, and minimizing environmental impact.
Assist in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the manufacturing site to identify potential hazards and areas of non-compliance.
Support the development and implementation of safety programs, policies, and procedures.- Participate in safety training sessions and workshops for employees.
Assist in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses, and help develop corrective actions.
- Help monitor and report on environmental performance metrics, including waste management, emissions, and resource usage.
Assist in maintaining environmental permits and records, and ensure adherence to environmental regulations.- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
Prepare reports and documentation as required by management or regulatory bodies.
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding EHS practices and procedures.
Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization.- Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans and procedures.
Participate in emergency drills and provide feedback for improvements.
- Contribute to ongoing EHS improvement initiatives and help identify areas for enhancement in existing programs.
Stay updated on EHS best practices and industry trends.
Education:
Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.Experience:
Previous internship or work experience in EHS or a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
