Role Summary
WSP is seeking to recruit a Jr CAD Technician to join System & Infrastructure-ITS UK team which provides detailed telecom, technologies, and associated infrastructure designs for Intelligent Transportation Systems.
Responsibilities
- Proficiency in Civil3D / AutoCAD software. Proven ability to work up drawings (plans, sections & details) from Engineers basic sketches to full working drawings.
- Must be well versed in the preparation of detailed highway design drawings.
- Providing technical 2D drafting and 3D modeling and design support for project deliverables.
- Responsible for quality assurance and control with adherence to global company standards, processes and best practices.
- Assisting Senior Technician in technical analysis
- Follow QA, document control, archiving guidelines on all work
- Good written and spoken communication skills and be fluent in English
- Knowledge of emerging industry standards and framework, such as openBIM and open data standards
Key Competencies / Skills
- AutoCAD software, Civil 3d, Navisworks, MS Office tools
- Good English communication skills.
- Commitment to work as part of a design team focused on project delivery.
