Junior Architect

Architects handle the planning and design of buildings. Additionally, they provide technical and aesthetic advice on the design of infrastructures built on private and public spaces. They are also responsible for ensuring that buildings are safe, functional, and built with the public welfare in mind.

The job combines the efficient and functional use of space with an understanding of aesthetics. Some designers, particularly in the domestic market, are concerned solely with the appearance, rather than the structure, of the interior.

Responsibilities:-

As an interior and spatial designer, you'll need to:

develop initial ideas and acquire key information about potential projects, discuss requirements in detail with clients and set project schedules

to read architectural floor plan and derive scope of work for signage and branding purposes.

consider materials and costs according to budgets and negotiate project fees

should have good comprehension ability and strong sense of responsibility.

research and gather information and photographs relating to the project

source products, such as fittings, furniture, lighting, finishes, decoration and dressing, and provide samples for clients

prepare detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes, often using computer-aided design (CAD) software

able to produce technical signage design / Production drawings

experience in producing Signage Designs and Production Files.

hands on experience of Signage Installation / project management will be of added advantage.

taking conceptual designs to create practical product design solutions across the full mix of signage types

supervise work at the design stage and on site

work closely with quantity surveyors to establish costs and work schedules

act as a project manager for the client throughout, coordinating the design on site and managing the team - this may be required in some roles.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 to 2 years of architectural experience

Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field

Software: AutoCad, CorelDraw, Illustrator, Photoshop

Excellent creative and visualization skills
