About The Role
The Junior Application Engineer works directly with the Commercial Team with:
- Pre-sales commercial engagements where the prospective client wishes to evaluate Modelon's technical solutions
- Post-sales technical support
- Back office work to handle product releases and licensing infrastructure.
This role covers all Modelon software products and product training, and acts globally across markets and industry sectors. The Junior Application Engineer reports to Modelon's Senior Business Development Director.
Typical engagements during
pre-sales that require Junior Application Engineering support include technical presentations, product demonstrations, solution development/scoping and evaluation support.
In the
post-sales phase, you will deliver timely and high-quality Junior Application Engineering support to Modelon end-users and partners.
In the
back office work you will work together with the Product Development team to deploy released products and make it available to the Modelon end customers and resellers channels.
You will also help support the Commercial team in handling customer license entitlements and license key generation.
Responsibilities And Measurables
- Having a strong understanding of Modelon products and related technology
- Having a strong understanding of Modelon Licensing mechanism
- Following-through on inbound customer technical support requests
Success in this role will primarily be measured by customer satisfaction metrics. Pipeline conversion rate and sales volume will also be important performance metrics that indicate successful pre-sales Junior Application Engineering activities.

Requirements
- MSc in Mechanical, Electric, Engineering Physics with focus on Energy, Automotive or Aerospace applications.
- 0-5 years working experience with 1D mathematical modeling and simulation.
- Knowledge of Python, Modelica, Matlab/Simulink is meritorious.
