Job Description Instrumentation Designer/Draftsman

The candidate shall be well versed with following activities.

(a) Understanding and interpreting the P & ID.

(b) Working Proficiency in Autocad, Microsoft office, 3D Modelling, knowledge of SPI Intools will be added advantage.

(c) Preparing following deliverables

(i) Instrument Location / Junction Box location layout,

(ii) Cable Tray/Cable duct layout,

(iii) Level Sketches

(iv) Instrument Hookup drawings

(v) Control room Layout

(vi) Analyzer room layout.

(vii) Bill of material for Instrumentation Hook up items.

(d) Should be able to prepare the grouping of Junction box based on different signal types like AI, AO, DI, DO and different voltage levels.

(e) Preparing Instrument Cable Schedule

(f) Should be familiar with Instrumentation standards of consultants like Engineers India Limited (EIL), Technip, Toyo, Worley Parson etc for preparing the above deliverables.

(g) Should be able to prepare the Quantity of Instrument Cables, Cable Tray, Junction Box etc for tendering purpose.

(h) He should be able to coordinate with other discipline like Process, Piping, Electrical, Civil etc. for incorporation of instrument cable routing details, instrument support requirement etc.

(i) He should be able to understand the piping material specification & valve material specification and select the instrument hook up material accordingly.
