Job Description
Experience:- 7+ yrs. Roles and Responsibilities:
- The JIRA/Automation Engineer would need to have at least 7+ years of experience. This Candidate must have expertise in developing, maintaining and supporting automation workflows in Atlassian JIRA as well as maintaining other Atlassian products like HipChat, Confluence and FishEye.
- Recommend and design standard and custom JIRA workflows.
- Install, manage and support various development tools, testing tools and monitoring tools.
- Plan, evaluate, deploy, operate and maintain tools to suit the expanding user-base.
- Provide training to technical and non-technical teams to use Atlassian tools.
Responsibilities:
- Design custom JIRA workflow for different issues types to assist in Automation of provisioning, build and deploy servers and applications as well as other continuous integration workflows.
- Responsible for developing plugins and gadgets that extend the JIRA capabilities using Atlassian Plugin SDK 6.x.
- Develop complex JIRA workflows including project workflows, screen schemes, permission scheme and notification schemes in JIRA.
- Perform the duties of a JIRA engineer and responsible for maintenance, administration, upgrade, and enhancements to JIRA, Confluence, HipChat and integrations with other tools or plugins.
- Create JIRA projects, queries, and reports.
Skills Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence including tool administration and customization.
- Experience creating JIRA templates, custom issues and workflows, custom forms and attributes.
- Experience in using/extending REST Services provided by Atlassian.
- Strong work experience in VB Script, Java, JavaScript, XML, JSP, SQL, PERL, and Python and should have utilized this skill set in multiple projects.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle preferably with Agile Kanban/Scrum.
- Good Verbal and Written communication skills.
Qualification
- B.Tech / B.E or higher degree in computer engineering or equivalent
