Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced JavaScript Developer with 10+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust web and mobile applications using the MERN stack. Your role will involve closely collaborating with product managers and developers to bring innovative ideas to life.

As a UK-based company, we require candidates to work according to UK time zones. Additionally, holidays will align with the UK calendar. Candidates must also have a large screen and reliable computer equipment, as this is a fully remote position.

You will be using the following technology stack: MERN = MongoDB Express ReactJS NodeJS

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web and mobile applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, ReactJS, NodeJS).
• Collaborate with product managers and other developers to design and implement new features.
• Write and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Manage and optimize cloud hosting environments such as AWS.
• Integrate third-party APIs, including Google Maps, Stripe, and UK postcode APIs.
• Implement CRUD operations and ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Use GitHub for version control and to manage code repositories efficiently.
• Develop and integrate WhatsApp APIs and other communication tools as needed.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS and using Visual Studio Code
• Expertise in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, ReactJS, NodeJS).
• experience with cloud hosting services such as AWS.
• Excellent skill in using Visual Studio Code for code editing and debug skills.
• Excellent GitHub repository management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of database management, particularly with MongoDB.
• Experience in writing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with API integrations, including Google Maps, Stripe, and UK postcode APIs.

• Experience in converting designs from Figma to functional code.
• Knowledge of WhatsApp API integration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification of Programming, via courses
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field with at least 5 years of post-degree experience.
• Experience working on large-scale websites with high traffic.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and design systems.

Job role - What you require:

In order to setup working from home technologies, such as screen / device / keyboard. The company will overall pay for these items in addition to your salary on a monthly basis (over 5 months), but you may need to look at interim EMI options.
