Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Backend Software Engineer with a strong background in backend development. The role requires expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Oracle SQL, MongoDB, and Python to design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend systems that power our innovative products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Development:

• Build robust and scalable backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with front-end teams and stakeholders to design APIs and system integrations.

1. Database Management:

• Design, optimize, and maintain Oracle SQL databases for structured data.
• Manage MongoDB for unstructured data solutions.

1. System Integration and API Development:

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for application functionality.
• Ensure seamless backend integration with third-party services.

1. Scripting and Automation:

• Leverage Python for scripting, data processing, and automation tasks.
• Implement unit testing and automate backend application deployments.

1. Performance Optimization:

• Monitor and enhance application performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Address and resolve system bottlenecks effectively.

1. Collaboration and Support:

• Partner with product managers, DevOps, and QA teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL and MongoDB.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Experience in building RESTful APIs and system integrations.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, including OOP and microservices.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
