Java Software Engineer

Rakuten Rewards India - RBrowser team is looking for a full stack experience software engineer to join our engineering team. We're an international team spanning across continents responsible for building software used by hundreds of millions of users.

You will collaborate with product, design and engineering teammates to build, and maintain our next generation of API services while identifying and fixing application bottlenecks, maintaining the core code, and deploying our APIs.

Responsibilities:

Build highly performing backend applications and solutions.

Prototype new user experiences.

Collaborate with data analysts, product and design on feature development.

Establish best practices in applications that consumers will love to use.

Drive the architecture and technology choices that enable a world-class user experience.

Work closely with organization to adopt next-generation architecture strategies (e.g. serverless, distributed systems)

• Deploy and monitor services to the cloud system.

Requirements:

• B.E. or M.E. in Computer or equivalent experience.
• 4-7 years of total experience in back-end server development.
• Self-motivated learner.

Experience should include:

• Experience in any cloud technology.
• Database - No SQL experience.
• Fluent in Java, Spring boot.
• Building scalable and performant backend applications (APIs, recommendation engines, large scale distributed systems)
• Working in autonomous teams (full lifecycle development)
• Design System experience.
• Proven expertise in creating distributed, scalable products and services, including reusable domain-specific micro services.
• Experience with application monitoring and security.
• You are adept at writing tests and use them to improve the quality of your code.
• Experience building scalable APIs with strong contracts.
• Experience in building backend server from scratch which can be highly scalable.
• Plus Containers (Docker).
• Plus Experience building systems with streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka).
• Plus Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript - Angular, Node.js) will be added advantage.
