We are currently seeking a
Senior Software Engineer for Java on z/OS Mainframe to strengthen our development teams to support existing and future products for our customers. We offer an international working environment with flat hierarchies, and the opportunity to take on responsibility. You'll work on cutting-edge solutions which are mission-critical for large customers around the world.
Essential Functions
- Driving the further development of a net-new product stack to increase the efficiency of large-scale customer applications.
- Supporting the entire product life cycle, from requirements analysis over implementation and testing to delivery
- Working in a software development process according to the principles of Lean and Agile
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Strong background in IBM z/OS Mainframe environments
- Extensive Java experience of at least 5 years experience under IBM z/OS
- Proven knowledge in Java Database Connectivity JDBC
- Powerful debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of COBOL and/ or C is a plus
- Experience with databases on the mainframe, such as Db2, Adabas or IMS DB is a plus
- Good skills of CICS, VSAM, SQLJ and WebSphere Liberty would complete your profile
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
