Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing, coordinating and leading the day-to-day development activities of employees, including planning for Sprints
- Senior developer with proven experience building enterprise systems and collaborating with multiple teams
- Designs, develops, tests, debugs, maintains and documents software systems, components,
- Collaborates with other departments on requirements, design, standards, and architecture of applications
- Adheres to standards for software development with emphasis on test driven development and quality of software Develops time estimates for project deliverables
- Coaching / mentoring of development staff in development best practices
- Participate in code reviews and status meetings
- Promotes Agile Scrum development methodology
Qualifications
- 4+ years experience with software development of Java applications
- 4+ years experience with J2EE framework
- 4+ years knowledge of object-oriented concepts
- 4+ years experience with RDMS such as Oracle or SQL Server and integrations of the database with Java applications
- 4+ years experience with Java IDE such as Eclipse, IntelliJ
- Experience with Open Source Frameworks: Spring, Hibernate/JPA
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Build Mgmt: e.g. Hudson/Jenkins, Gradle/Maven, Ant, Concourse
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills Analytical skills, problem solving, and attention to detail
- Experience with webservice/API development (REST, SOAP)
- Experience with web based data formats (XML, JSON)
- Experience with GitHub for version control
- Experience developing applications using microservices framework
- Experience demonstrating technical leadership
