Java Dev Google Cloud Practice Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for one of our leading clients in India (remote).

Night shift (7pm to 4am IST)

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy robust software features in alignment with customer requirements
• Diagnose and resolve product bugs, deficiencies, and performance bottlenecks
• Collaborate within an agile delivery team to ensure technical excellence across documentation, testing, and code quality
• Assess technical feasibility and propose effective solutions for diverse business needs
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend their integration into current and future projects
• Optimize product applications and tools to enhance quality and efficiency using infrastructure-as-code principles

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience developing software in GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
• 5+ years of Java development experience; familiarity with other languages like Node.js, Scala, Python, Go, C#, Typescript, or Ruby.
• Proficiency in relational databases, including designing complex schemas and optimizing queries.
• Solid background in distributed systems or microservice architectures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and client interactions.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or substantial experience with GCP.
• Hands-on experience with container and serverless technologies.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to CI tools such as Jenkins.
• Practical application development experience on Linux and Windows-based systems.
• Previous customer-facing roles or experience collaborating with third-party developers.
