Job Title: ITAM (SAM/ HAM) Consultant
- Location: Noida and Bangalore
- Job Role and Responsibilities:
o Consultants will be responsible for delivering (and planning) pre-sales presentations; based on an understanding of assets hardware and software service design, service delivery, advisory and license consulting services for software and hardware asset management to our range of customers
o Assist in sales activities including customer demos, RFPs, and other related initiatives
o Demonstrations of the product, both standard and customized based on need, to prospective and existing customers
o Staying current on ServiceNow product developments/releases to a level required for demo and POC/POV.
o Responsible for understanding business and technical problems addressed by the products including business drivers and use cases etc.
o Interpret software license agreements and identify rules, obligations, and product metrics to ensure compliance with software license
o Understand general software Product Use Rights and contractual entitlement requirements for software products and publishers
o Understand the general lifecycle of different types of Hardware Asset
o Collect, cleanse, and normalize software and hardware discovery and inventory information
o Establish and maintain regular license management processes to review License Position Reports
o Maintain regular Hardware Asset Inventory reports to ensure inventory coverage remains high
o Assist business and technical teams by monitoring and ensuring contract compliance
o Analyze consumption history and trends to understand and support discussion with stakeholders regarding future demand
o Communicate regularly with stakeholders to verify future anticipated demand for software and hardware, translate this into budgeting/forecasting guidance for the affected software programs
o Conduct regular analysis of actual consumption of pre-purchased inventories to deployment plans
o Interact with stakeholders as a promoter for Software & Hardware Asset Management compliance processes and procedures
o Leading or supporting Advisory, Project and/or BAU activities
o Consulting services to support in ServiceNow SAM and HAM implementation, documentation, configuration, and other related services delivery activities
o Provide guidance on best practices, solution architecture and roadmap
o 2+ years of business experience related to software or hardware asset management, IT asset management or software procurement.
o Proficiency and experience in publisher licensing are required for the role along with Flexera or SNOW operations skills (good to have)
o Experience with ServiceNow SAM and HAM in a consulting or software implementation position
o CSAM, CHAMP, CAMP, ITAM or SAM certification a definite plus
o Knowledge and familiarity with discovery tools used across different platforms
o Knowledge of a variety of software licensing models and metrics
o Exposure to IBM Big Fix/ Endpoint Manager/Trivoli Endpoint Manager or Oracle LMS or IBM License Metric Tool (good to have)
o Strong knowledge and experience with software asset lifecycle management processes, planning, acquisition, deployment, monitoring, harvesting and retirement
o Experience with development of hardware asset management policies, workflows, processes, and procedures.
o Knowledge of the hardware asset lifecycle and associated processes
