Nair Systems, is a QFC based, boutique leading edge technology consulting and professional services firm focusing on Digital Banking, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data & Data Analytics, Cyber Security, Blockchain and Cryptocurrency and Robotic Process Automation.
Nair Systems is currently looking for IT System Administrator for our Qatar operations with the following terms & conditions.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a System Administrator, preferably in a corporate IT environment.
Proficiency in administering Linux and Windows-based servers.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong written and oral communication & interpersonal skills (English)
Key Responsibilities:
1. System Administration:
Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Linux-based servers (Red Hat 7 & 8) and
Windows servers (Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022).
Perform routine system maintenance tasks such as software installations, updates,
patches, and system backups.
Monitor system performance and respond to alerts promptly to ensure maximum
uptime and performance.
2. Troubleshooting and User Support:
Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and
network-related issues.
Document troubleshooting procedures and maintain knowledge base for future
reference.
3. Security Management:
Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data
and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and
mitigate potential risks.
Respond to security incidents promptly, investigate root causes, and implement
corrective actions.
Address audit gaps and ensure all necessary policies are implemented.
4. Backup and Disaster Recovery:
Maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the
event of system failures or data breaches.
Perform regular backups of critical data and test recovery procedures to validate
their effectiveness.
Perform periodical DR tests to confirm or to update the DR procedure.
Participate in scheduled DR simulations.
