Job Title-IT Server Management
Location-Mumbai
Experience-6 -12 Years
Notice-Immediate to 15 days
Requirements:
- Wintel OS (2008,2012, 2016, 2019 & 2022) administration / Configuration / Troubleshooting
- Need to extend L2 support with hands on Experience in covering all the below specified aspects regarding Windows OS installed physical and Virtual Servers
- Windows Cluster Administration / Configuration / Troubleshooting
- Create, modify and delete network shares assign and maintain space usage restrictions
- Manage OS cluster
- In-depth Understanding of DNS, Fileserver, RDP Gateway, Print management, KMS
- Skills on Hardware monitoring tool like Dell OME & HP SIM
- Server migration activities as applicable
- Able to independently plan, design and execute projects
- Configure and maintain print servers and print queues, Restoring server operating system
- Basic understanding of VMware
- Create new file systems
- Create batch to automate using standard command
- Creating duplicate Virtual Machine's using cloning technology.
- Creating Templates from VM's, deploy VM's from templates and allocate resources
- Perform OS upgrade activities and manual patch installation as required
- Coordinate with patch management team to ensure all devices are compliant from patching perspective
- Communicate downtime to the application owners as per the patching schedule
- Perform periodic system performance tuning, schedule maintenance activity, conduct hardening of the operating systems
- Performance monitoring
- Physical OEMs hardware (DELL / HP) Administration / Configuration / Troubleshooting
- Resolve server problems like system hang, hard disk crash, etc.
- Server Monitoring tools and reporting
- Support for major incident
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitieslike Server/OS crash analysis
- Root Cause & System Log Analysis and reporting.
- Capacity management
- Creating, updating SOP documents
- Continually monitor environment to ensure best practices and set guidelines are being followed.
- Coordination with 3rd parties and other units for resolution in incidents and problems and complete RCA
- Incident and Problem Support: This involves break/fix, configuration issues,
- Participate in on-call rotation (as required) for emergency technical support and planned maintenance activities. Monitoring and managing Windows server infrastructure
- Taking ownership of critical incidents, coordinating with other resolution parties,vendors and establishing effective communication between stakeholders for post-incident reviews
- Ensure all the alerts, incident and service request get close within time line.
- Manage Windows L1 engineers team and delegate task among them
- Taking responsibility for server performance, meeting customer expectations, and driving future demand For server downtime and reboot approve for schedule activities and task
- For identifying and implementing new IT projects, effective utilization of existing IT systems
- For supporting rollout of IT projects in Jio World Centre
- For ensuring smooth functioning of IT Operations of Convention Centre, NMACC, DAS, Plaza, Service Apartments and Office Space
- For server downtime and reboot approve for schedule activities and task
- Communicate on monthly security patching and other schedule activities Coordinate with Microsoft for OS troubleshooting
- For Hardware troubleshooting and replacement
Skills & Technical Competencies:-
- Strong Technical knowledge on Windows domain.
- L2 level knowledge on VMware
- MS Cluster, File Server, Print server.
- ITIL framework understanding.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Solid incident and problem-solving skills
- Readiness to demonstrate a proactive attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Educational Qualifications:-
- B Tech / BE or equivalent. Masters in IT would be preferable, Certification MCSE, ITIL.
