Position: IT Manager
Overview
Opkey is in search of a seasoned IT Manager to spearhead our IT infrastructure operations and strategic initiatives. We are seeking an individual with a substantial background in IT management, adept at managing both day-to-day operational tasks and long-term strategic objectives within a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
- Operational Oversight: Monitoring of daily operations including server hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Strategic Planning: Defining and implementing IT infrastructure strategies, architecture, and processes.
- Budget Management: Overseeing the annual IT budget to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Asset Management: Efficient and accurate management of IT assets.
- Team Leadership: Managing IT staff by recruiting, training, setting expectations, and evaluating performance.
- Risk Management: Evaluation of technology risks and development of strategies for network disaster recovery and backup procedures.
- Technology Administration: Administration and support of core technologies including Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix, and VMware.
- Vendor Management: Assisting with hardware, firewall, telecom, and software vendor evaluations, recommendations, and negotiations.
- System Performance: Ensuring the high availability and optimal performance of mission-critical host computer resources.
- Audit and Compliance: Collaborating with internal audit management to enhance systems.
- Technology Advancement: Staying current with technological advancements and industry best practices.
- Business Analysis: Analyzing business requirements to develop IT solutions that meet organizational needs.
- Security and Compliance: Supporting the development and maintenance of InfoSec & Cyber Security policies and standards.
Required Skills
- Education: Master's/Bachelor's degree in Computers, IT, or related field from an accredited institution. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: 6-10 years of relevant experience, with comprehensive exposure to all major IT operational and strategic matters within an IT/ITES/Tech organization.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide teams autonomously.
- Technical Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of computer systems, network and systems administration, databases, data storage systems, data centers, and more.
- Certifications: Relevant technology certifications (Infosec, Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, etc.).
- Project Management: Exceptional project management skills with a knack for prioritizing effectively.
- Policy Development: Experience in crafting and maintaining policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
- Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Analytical Skills: Strong logical and analytical capabilities.
- Independence: Self-driven with the ability to handle pressure and work independently or as part of a team.
