Position: IT Manager
Overview
Opkey is seeking a seasoned IT Manager to lead our IT infrastructure operations and strategic initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with a robust background in IT management, who thrives in managing both operational and strategic aspects within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
- Operational Oversight: Monitor daily operations including server hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Strategic Planning: Define and implement IT infrastructure strategies, architecture, and processes.
- Budget Management: Oversee the annual IT budget to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Asset Management: Manage IT assets efficiently and accurately.
- Team Leadership: Manage IT staff by recruiting, training, setting expectations, and evaluating performance.
- Risk Management: Evaluate technology risks and develop strategies for network disaster recovery and backup procedures.
- Technology Administration: Administer and support core technologies including Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix, and VMware.
- Vendor Management: Assist with hardware, firewall, telecom, and software vendor evaluations, recommendations, and negotiations.
- System Performance: Ensure the high availability and optimal performance of mission-critical host computer resources.
- Audit and Compliance: Collaborate with internal audit management to enhance systems.
- Technology Advancement: Stay current with technological advancements and industry best practices.
- Business Analysis: Analyze business requirements to develop IT solutions that meet organizational needs.
- Security and Compliance: Support the development and maintenance of InfoSec & Cyber Security policies and standards.
Required Skills
- Education: Master's/Bachelor's degree in Computers, IT, or related field from an accredited institution. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: 6-10 years of relevant experience, with comprehensive exposure to all major IT operational and strategic matters within an IT/ITES/Tech organization.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide teams autonomously.
- Technical Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of computer systems, network and systems administration, databases, data storage systems, data centers, and more.
- Certifications: Relevant technology certifications (Infosec, Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, etc.).
- Project Management: Exceptional project management skills with a knack for prioritizing effectively.
- Policy Development: Experience in crafting and maintaining policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
- Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Analytical Skills: Strong logical and analytical capabilities.
- Independence: Self-driven with the ability to handle pressure and work independently or as part of a team.
