IT Lead/Manager – TDF Desk at TDF Directorate

About the Project

The Project would support the initiatives of the Technology Development Fund (TDF)scheme of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) executed by the Directorate of Technology Development Fund, aimed at supporting the technology development ecosystem of India's defence sector using grants and agreements to industries, especially MSME and startups.

Under this project, a dedicated TDF desk will be managed by Finovista, to support the TDF scheme's project management, branding, and outreach to industries, industry associations, and other stakeholders.

Finovista, is supporting DRDO to set up and manage the TDF Desk at DRDO. People working on working under the TDF Desk will be associated with Finovista.

About Technology Development Fund (TDF)

TDF of DRDO promulgates the development of defence and dual-use systems, subsystems, Components or technologies, for a product that is Indian Designed, Developed and manufactured (IDDM). The idea is mainly to promote Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) including Startups to develop innovative products for our forces.

Job Location DRDO HQ, New Delhi

Note: As DRDO is a high-security zone, selected candidates will need to get a Police Clearance Certificate upon joining Finovista.

Job Responsibilities:

• Leading end-to-end Technology Development and Management of the TDF website. This would include Design, Development, Functionality, Accessibility, and Usability.
• Design, develop, and maintain Drupal-based applications and customise/extend Drupal core capabilities.
• Experience with integrating open source & third-party applications into existing systems
• Proficient in the Creation, Administration and Maintenance of Drupal modules and sites
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient PHP code and develop/integrate custom modules in Drupal.
• Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing)
• Enhancement of existing features such as website analytics, blogs, admin dashboard, project management tools, data security, and compliance.
• Support Integration of Technology Grid into TDF website: Work to support DRDO in developing a database; this to be done utilizing DRDO's Existing Database and support in reaching out to the other DPSUs.
• Manage MariaDB and MySQLi databases, including schema design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Write efficient SQL queries and ensure database security and data integrity.
• Administer NIC Server and other Development Server ensuring high availability and security
• Implement server monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery plans.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of demonstrable experience in managing the Job responsibilities mentioned above
• Prior experience in leading the Website/IT management of any Indian Government Department/Platform/Start-up Innovation Support portal would be Preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Candidates should have a background in engineering, particularly in ECE/electrical/ mechanical/industrial engineering, CS/IT will be a particular plus.
• Excellent knowledge and experience of working in Drupal 9 ,10, Core PHP, Cake PHP, CI, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, Bootstrap framework
• Website Audit and Compliance eg. CERT IN
• Immediate Joiners would be Preferred
