Job Summary:
The IT Lab Assistant is responsible for managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations of all systems and peripherals. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of IT systems, networking, and user support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Problem Identification and Resolution:
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to systems, printers, access points, and all IT peripherals.
- Desktop Service and User Administration:
- Provide desktop support and manage user accounts and permissions.
- Networking Support:
- Assist in the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of networking equipment.
- Active Directory Management:
- Utilize knowledge of Active Directory for user management and authentication.
- Application Support:
- Address and resolve challenging support situations related to various applications.
- Data Backup:
- Implement and manage data backup solutions to ensure data integrity and security.
- IT Asset Management:
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure their proper functioning and compliance with standards.
- Linux Administration:
- Apply knowledge of Linux operating systems for system management and troubleshooting.
- OS Management:
- Handle tasks related to dual boot, network boot, and Ghost OS.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and solving hardware and software issues.
- Strong knowledge of desktop service, user administration, and Active Directory.
- Experience with networking equipment and data backup solutions.
- Ability to manage and maintain IT assets efficiently.
- Competence in Linux and OS management (dual boot, network boot, Ghost OS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging support situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with users and team members.
