IT Infrastructure Specialist (oracle, Linux and Lab Vantage LIMS)
Location: Hybrid -Bangalore
Experience: Lead. (Minimum 9 to 10 years of highly skilled and motivated IT Infrastructure Specialist with in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Oracle, Linux, and infra technologies with additional system architecture and application database knowledge of Lab Vantage LIMS COTS product.)

Mandatory Skills & Roles & Responsibilities:
Oracle Database Management:
- Monitor and tune database performance to optimize system efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve high-level database-related issues.
- Perform ad-hoc database backups and restores and ensure data integrity.
Linux System Administration
- Manage Linux-based servers, including installation and configuration.
- Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and capacity planning.
- Implement security measures and regular system updates.
Windows Server and Application Clustering Administration:
- Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct performance tuning.
- Implement security measures, regular updates, and patch management.
- Configure and maintain load balancing and failover mechanisms for JBoss clusters.
- Monitor JBoss application servers, optimize performance, and troubleshoot cluster-related issues.
System Monitoring
- Set up and utilize monitoring tools (such as: AppDynamics, Splunk, QlikSense, Nexthink) to ensure the availability and performance of systems.
- Generate reports to provide visibility into the performance and availability of the system.
- Detect, analyze, and respond to the events and alerts generated by the monitoring system.
- Implement automation scripts to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency of IT operation.
Collaboration and Support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various IT projects and initiatives.
- Provide technical support to infra. Service providers and assist in resolving IT-related issues.
Requirements:
- Strong expertise in Oracle Database administration, Linux system administration and Windows system administration
- Familiarity with JBoss clustering concept, failover mechanism, and virtualization solutions
- Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications in Oracle Database administration and Linux, Windows (e.g., OCA, RHCE).
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMWare)
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
