About the role:
The Director of IT's primary responsibility is to oversee the streamlined management of the department and to ensure it aligns with the business objectives of the organization. This individual's principal goals are to work with the Service Delivery and Platform team to develop and manage solution project portfolios for each department, deliver new IT solutions, and meet service level agreements for the enterprise.
The Director of IT will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and provide tiered support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
What you'll do:
- Manage activities of staff of managers and engineers in our India Location, including personnel activities, mentoring, goal setting, and performance management.
- Act as a vendor contact, build relationships, investigate sources of equipment and services, and evaluate cost and quality of services.
- May direct large, highly complex projects or entire small product lines and translate high-level direction into specific action plans to remedy issues.
- May be independently responsible for or collaborate with/report to more senior level positions, with responsibility for overall project relationship and project direction/ completion.
- Contribute to overall strategy development and implement strategies.
What you'll bring:
- 15+ years of relevant professional experience, and 10+ years of managerial experience
- Ability to resolve unique issues related to staff management, customer satisfaction, or business processes; Anticipates problems and determines solutions that integrate overall business strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Recognized subject matter expert with the ability to mentor team on highly significant matters relating to products, services, capabilities, and long-range goals and objectives
- Knowledge of multiple products or platforms, like Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, Messaging and Collaboration, and Identity, as well as comprehensive understanding of the industry in which the products are deployed, and can easily articulate the impact of system changes on the customer's business
- Ability to lead others and ensure the completion of tasks; also engaging in sharing knowledge and expertise (product, industry, professional, technical)
- Ability to work flexible hours as required by business priorities.
- Ability to ensure that the work product of the team meets all quality, security and operability requirements.
