Role Details
The Cloud Governance Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient and secure use of cloud resources
within the organization. They will collaborate with various teams to develop and enforce cloud governance
policies, optimize cloud usage, and mitigate risks associated with cloud services.
Overall Job Description
- Developing and implementing cloud governance policies, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and security protocols.
- Collaborating with IT and security teams to design and implement cloud security measures, including identity and access management, data encryption, and threat detection.
- Monitoring cloud resource usage and costs, and identifying opportunities for optimization to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Conducting regular assessments to evaluate cloud security and compliance, and addressing any identified vulnerabilities or issues.
- Providing guidance and training to staff on cloud governance and security best practices.
- Managing vendor relationships and evaluating third-party cloud service providers to ensure they meet security and compliance standards.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies related to cloud governance and security.
- Serving as a point of contact for internal and external audits related to cloud services.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect are highly desirable.
- Up to 5 years of experience in IT and cloud-related roles with sound knowledge on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Prior experience in cloud governance, compliance, or security roles is preferred.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in the banking industry in India, such as RBI guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
