An IT Business Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between the business and IT departments. They act as translators, analysts, and problem-solvers, ensuring that technology solutions align with business needs and goals. This role requires a strong understanding of both business and IT principles, excellent communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. - Experience with IT Services company (Website Development, App Development, ERP, LMS, Custom Apps, etc.)
Gather and analyze business requirements:
Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand stakeholder needs, pain points, and objectives. Translate these requirements into clear, concise, and actionable specifications for IT teams.Define and document solution requirements:
Develop functional specifications, user stories, and system design documents that outline the proposed solution in detail.Evaluate and select technology solutions: Research and assess different technologies based on feasibility, cost, and alignment with business needs. Recommend the most suitable solution to stakeholders.
- Work with IT teams: Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and other IT professionals to ensure the solution is implemented according to specifications. Participate in development cycles, including testing and deployment.
Analyze data and identify trends:
Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to extract insights from business data. Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.Develop and maintain documentation:
Create and maintain clear and concise documentation for business requirements, system specifications, and user manuals.Communicate effectively: Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders concisely and persuasively.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends: Continuously learn about new technologies, methodologies, and best practices in IT and business analysis.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or similar role.
Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, such as SDLC and Agile.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in MS Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
