Job Title: IT-BCP and Disaster Recovery Manager

Work Experience (Years): 4 to 8 years
Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech
Any other (certification etc. preferrable): ITIL, CBCP, ISO 22301
Nature of work exp.: Proven experience in IT disaster recovery planning and execution. Strong understanding of IT system, networks, infrastructure and Data Centre management.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement and improve cross-functional programs that enable the recovery of critical IT business functions and systems.
Schedule and coordinate IT recovery exercises for IT systems, call tree and tabletop simulations for IT systems.
Support the delivery of business continuity implementation programs covering all aspects of the business continuity and resilience lifecycle, such as business impact analysis, business continuity planning, training/ awareness activities and simulations. Research and implement strategies and procedures for the effective response to incidents and the resumption of critical IT business operations.
Develop disaster recovery plans to meet organization's defined and contracted objectives.
Implement and maintain backup and recovery technology setup (on-prim and cloud) and changes as per business need.
Create and maintain documentation for DR procedures.
Conduct regular drills and tests to validate the effectiveness of recovery and management reporting.
Backup and DR setup KPI management and reporting
Datacenter management with focus on safety, reliability and continuous availability of data center environment.
Competencies / Skills
Should have a solid understanding of the business processes and IT systems that are critical for the organization's operations and how they can be affected by different scenarios.
Project management experience: He/She should be able to plan, organize, and execute BCP/DR projects, such as conducting risk assessments, developing recovery strategies, and implementing solutions.
Interpersonal skills: He/She should be able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, such as senior management, business units, IT staff, vendors, and regulators, and address their concerns and expectations.
Flexibility and adaptability. He/She should be able to adjust to changing business needs and requirements, and solve problems creatively and efficiently.
Business continuity and disaster recovery knowledge and experience: He/She should be familiar with the best practices and standards for BCP/DR, such as ISO 22301, and have experience in performing or participating in business impact analyses, crisis management, recovery planning, and testing.
Business continuity and disaster recovery certifications: He/She may benefit from obtaining certifications that demonstrate their expertise and competence in BCP/DR, such as CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) or MBCI (Member of the Business Continuity Institute).
