What you'll do
- Setup and configure new-hire laptops and perform IT on-boarding for new employees
- Maintain an operational knowledge of the latest MacOS and Windows versions, features and capabilities
- Apply best practices to ensure end users get the best IT experience
- Manage and secure various device endpoints via tools like Jamf, Crowdstrike etc.
- Work with various system management tools to enforce security updates and patches, and manage compliance requirements
- Manage user accounts and SSO to ensure secure access to corporate applications
- Manage and administer tools for business functions such as HR, finance etc
- Implement, improve and document new and existing policies, procedures and processes for various IT systems
- Manage the inventory and assist with IT asset procurement
- Provide support for A/V equipment in office conference rooms including Zoom
What we're looking for
- At least 5 years of experience in an IT support role in a fast growing startup company
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher in a relevant discipline.
- Related network and security certifications are a plus
- 4+ years of experience with supporting MacOS and Windows, with MDM and system deployment tools like Jamf
- At least 3 years of experience in working with audio/video services like Zoom
- Familiar with application access management with SSO using tools like Google Workplace or Okta
- Experience with scripting technologies like Bash, Python to automate routine tasks will be a plus
- Experience in managing Google Apps and tools such as Rippling, Jira/Confluence
- Experience with basic troubleshooting and networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, IP addressing, WiFi troubleshooting, etc..
- Familiarity with MacOS, Windows, and Linux command line, services, and system operations
- Mid to advanced understanding of security concepts and best practices including tools like CrowdStrike
- Demonstrated experience in IT and security compliance such as SOC2
- Must have effective written and verbal communication skills; speak fluent English
- Effective communication, patience, tenacity and follow-through in tracking, troubleshooting and bringing to resolution internal customer support calls
- Ability to discuss and coordinate with members of other teams to track, isolate and resolve technical issues
- Strong task and time management skills with the ability to prioritize, triage, resolve and escalate in an efficient and effective manner
