nEssentials Skills
nBuild, maintain, and operate the global Schindler IoT Device Management solution, leveraging microservices architecture and Java expertise.
nPrepare, test, and enhance update and rollout procedures for new software deployments using Bash scripting in Linux environments.
nCreate technical documentation and conduct training sessions to share knowledge globally, utilizing Java and Python skills.
nPlan, develop, and test automated processes to optimize system operations, focusing on microservices architecture and efficiency.
nDiagnose software, hardware, and system failures with expertise in Linux and Bash.
nContribute to platform and product improvements through Java, Python, and microservices.
nProvide 2nd-level technical support to troubleshoot and resolve issues, applying Java, Linux, and Bash skills.
nCollect and document product feature requests, collaborating with teams to implement enhancements.
nQualifications
nBachelor degree-education in computer or engineering sciences, or equivalent qualification.
nExperience in a previous technical support/development role is a must.
nMinimum Requirements
nMinimum of 4 years of experience in a support organization or software development with technical support responsibilities.
nProficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, batch scripting).
nExpertise in logging and troubleshooting complex systems with proven problem-solving abilities.
nStrong understanding of Linux operating systems.
nExperience with software development processes, tools, and deployment methods (GIT, Jenkins, BitBucket, etc.).
nKnowledge of REST APIs and experience utilizing them to automate tasks.
nUnderstanding of Edge Devices software architecture based on ARM/Linux and LXC Containers.
nExperience in web development (e.g., Angular JS) and object-oriented programming is a plus.
nProficiency in Linux environments with expertise in Bash scripting for deployment, automation, and troubleshooting.
nSolid grasp of microservices architecture, critical for system design and maintenance.
nProficient in Java with hands-on experience in building, deploying, and troubleshooting applications.
nExperience with Agile methodologies (KANBAN or SCRUM) preferred.
nExposure to Software AG's Cumulocity IoT platform is a plus.
nExperience with Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira) is a plus.
nNice to Have
n Demonstrated ability to develop technical documentation and instructions.
nAbility to deliver to tight deadlines and work on high priority tasks.
