IoT Backend lead developer

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in backend development, IoT architecture, and project management. This role requires leadership qualities and the ability to drive projects from a technical standpoint while fostering innovation and growth within our IoT ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Backend Development:

Develop and maintain robust backend solutions using Python and other relevant technologies.

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker for application deployment.

• Project Management:

Manage end-to-end lifecycle from concept to phasing out of the product, planning project timelines, and resource allocation.

• Own and drive well-prioritized product and feature roadmaps that balance metric movers, customer delights, and customer asks.

Utilize tools like JIRA, Confluence, GIT, and Jenkins for project management, collaboration, and version control.

• Technical Leadership:

Lead IoT projects from a technical perspective, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

• Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Collaborate with DevOps engineers to optimize application performance and scalability.

• Cloud Infrastructure Management:

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless integration and deployment processes.

• Implement data modeling techniques for structured and unstructured data.

Customer Engagement:

• Actively listen and connect with customers to understand their needs and feedback.

Analyze market and competitive conditions to identify new business opportunities and target markets.

Security and Compliance: Ensure comprehensive security measures are in place to protect data in transit and at rest.

• Implement best practices for network protocols and security.

Qualifications:

• Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.

• Sound experience in IoT leadership, capable of developing IoT-related architecture and leading projects from a technical side.

Proficiency in Python; experience with other programming languages is a plus.

• Strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools.

Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Experience with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).

Skills:

• Strong data modeling and database design skills.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work in a Linux-based environment.

Self-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with microservices architecture.

Knowledge of serverless computing.

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
