Summary: An Investment Analyst provides Cintra with financial analysis, which results key in the company's decision-making process. Its main working tool will be financial models that reflect how projects may potentially perform throughout the life of each project, revealing which investment opportunities are best for Cintra and its partners to pursue. To provide proper analysis, an Investment Analyst will build the models, optimize them according to each project's needs/requirements, structure the analysis and communicate its main conclusions and investment recommendations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build, develop and work with financial models in Excel; financial models will be built and operated according to the operating, commercial and financial characteristics of each project.
- When analyzing new investment opportunities, it will result key to determine the optimal financial structure, analyzing the requirements of projects, developing financial objectives based on preliminary commercial structures, and analyzing sources of finance to develop an optimum financing mix
- Prepare and interpret complex financial information and provide financial analysis in a variety of contexts, including project bids, concession transactions and M&A activities
- Participate, facilitate and interpret results for senior management financial according to Cintras investment goals in terms of feasibility, profitability, and detailed financing plans
- Preparing in-depth analysis and written documentation and presentations to senior management as part of Cintra's investments approval process. This internal approval process, especially relevant in bid and M&A projects, is run according to Cintra's internal regulations and protocols
- Preparing Project Information Memorandum to present the project to lenders, rating agencies, equity investors or any other third parties
- Working closely with management of projects on portfolio on specific requests and assisting them on the preparation of materials to be discussed on their board of directors
- Working closely with external advisors such us financial advisors, tax and accounting advisors, legal advisors and financial model auditors
- Conduct sensitivity analyses, as well as develop various cases to test the robustness of financial structures under multiple scenarios and report the results to Cintra's senior management, investment partners, and other relevant parties
- Review and comment on procurement and financial documents, such as requests for proposal (RFPs) and project agreements, draft finance documents, etc. with high attention to detail in order to understand the unique requirements of each project
- Participate in conducting major bid and project reviews, including pro forma preparation
- Manage several projects at a time, which are all at different stages of development
- Working closely with senior members of its own team and other teams; as a flat structured team you will gain an enormous learning curve when stepping into this environment
- Perform additional job-related duties as needed

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree desired
- 3-5+ years of experience in financial modeling and analysis is preferred
- Aspirations to eventually obtain a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)

- Meet the company's in-person work requirements for the role
- Required commitment to relocate to company's corporate location in Spain
- Preferred commitment to relocate to any of the company's global locations
