Position Summary:The Inventory Executive is responsible for efficiently managing the company's inventory by maintaining accurate records, ensuring adequate stock levels, and overseeing the movement of goods. This role involves working closely with the operations, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of stock, minimize excess inventory, and contribute to the overall operational efficiency of the company.
Inventory Management:- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock is available to meet demand without overstocking.
Perform regular inventory counts, audits, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of records.- Track inventory movements and ensure that all stock-related transactions are recorded accurately in the inventory management system.
Stock Control:- Establish and implement efficient inventory control procedures.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory records, and investigate root causes of discrepancies.- Minimize obsolete or expired stock and coordinate the disposal or return of unusable inventory.
Order Processing:- Coordinate with the procurement team to place orders for replenishment stock based on sales trends, forecasted demand, and lead times.
Liaise with suppliers to track orders, ensure timely deliveries, and resolve any supply issues.- Manage inbound and outbound inventory shipments, ensuring timely receipt and dispatch of goods.
Warehouse Coordination:- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of goods.
Assist in optimizing warehouse space utilization and organization to facilitate easy access to stock.- Ensure proper labeling and categorization of inventory to enhance traceability and identification.
Reporting:- Generate and analyze inventory reports to provide insights into stock levels, turnover rates, and slow-moving items.
Present regular reports on inventory metrics to management and recommend actions to optimize stock levels.- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory management, such as stock accuracy, order fill rates, and stock outs.
Compliance and Safety:- Ensure that inventory handling, storage, and movement adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
* Comply with legal requirements, such as the proper storage of hazardous materials or temperature-sensitive goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the warehouse and inventory storage areas.
