Job description:
The role is for a business analyst, working closely with the Intraday Liquidity team, including its Global Head, with the primary responsibility for performing business analyst tasks.
This includes, however, is not limited to, strong documentation skills and being comfortable in interpreting business requirements into technical deliverables.
This aspect of the role is very important as the candidate will need to be familiar with cash management, intraday liquidity, and Treasury.
This will include having a good understanding of how cash forecast projections and real time monitoring of cash are managed within a Bank.
To be successful the candidate has to be comfortable with managing and interpreting all types of data, as well as being self-sufficient and being able to operate in a team environment.
The role holder will be supported by representatives in the following areas:
Global Head of Funding and Liquidity Strategy
Intraday Liquidity Programme Director
Intraday Liquidity PM
Markets Treasury team & working group members across operating entities
Functional project teams (IT, Ops, Finance, Risk, Legal)
Group Treasury (including ALM)
Requirements/ Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications as per job spec:
Degree level education preferably with a professional qualification and with substantial experience
Excellent team player with proactive and self-motivated attitude
Treasury or Cash Management experience with focus on Intraday Liquidity and/or Funding topics
Familiarity of major global FMI's including both payment and security settlement systems
Familiarity of front to back Financial Markets processes and infrastructure
Strong background in acting in a business analyst capacity.
Comfortable engaging both verbally and in written form with stakeholders
Excellent MS Suite product knowledge.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and manage the product development lifecycle from ideation to release, ensuring timely and quality delivery of features and functionalities according to the Intraday Liquidity Target Operating Model.
Define and prioritize product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
Working with stakeholders of internal HSBC systems and defining the right data attributes to support effective cash management processes.
Articulating business requirements into technical deliverables
Review and signing off on technical deliverables
Ensure dependencies with other functional areas are fully considered, planned for, and delivered against when delivering.
Maintaining documentation on data flows, data linage and reconciliation from RIVA to source
Key point of contact for IT via business and communicate with stakeholders throughout the project.
Serve as product ambassador internally, sharing knowledge and answering questions.
Ensure dependencies with other functional areas are fully considered, planned for, and delivered against when delivering.
Ensure project scope and objectives are understood to all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility across all IT stakeholders.
