About Organization (Division, Department, Team): The Platform Operations Division is responsible for the operation of Rakuten Mobile's cloud-based mobile network. We are responsible for the end to end operation of Core network (4G and 5G) which includes IMS, EPC network

Job Description:

We are responsible for the operation of the mobile carrier platform of Rakuten Mobile, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for improving and expanding the world's first virtualized mobile carrier platform with a sense of urgency, as well as automating operations and responding to failures, and examining the architecture to improve performance, reliability, and scalability in order to create a more robust system. In addition to automating operations and responding to failures, they are also responsible for examining the architecture to improve performance, reliability, and scalability in order to make the system more robust, and improve the architectural consistency of the entire system while working closely across product development teams and system operation team

• Minimum 14-20 years experience in IR and Core domain, NOC Operations experience must require.
• Candidate must have depth knowledge of IR Operations.
• Candidate will be responsible for managing IR operations team and bring thought leadership in network operations. Candidate will also be responsible for competency development of team.
• Lead and manage the IR operations, ensuring the timely resolution of network faults, driving the resolutions of incidents/issues and maintaining operational excellence.
• Ability to manage a IR operations team and holding every member of the team to deliver at high efficiency.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills regarding technical and non-technical concepts.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish professional working relationships with varying levels of both business and technical personnel.
• Provide leadership to the Network Ops team. Ensuring that P1/P2 (priority 1 or 2) incidents are resolved and communicate to the stake holders in a timely fashion.
• Provide operational support availability in the event of any escalations.
• Drive root cause analysis of chronic or repeat trouble reports, and catastrophic outages.
• Capability to work in an international multi-vendors environment.
• Understanding of contractual SLA/KPI into Operational Level Agreements ensuring accurate and stable service delivery.

Your Skills and Experience:

• Good Knowledge of Telecom 4G/5G/LTE/VoLTE Networks and Call flows
• Strong troubleshooting and hands-on experience on Core/IR domain.
• Strong understanding of RTP, RTCP, H.248, SIP, Diameter, SS7, TCP/UDP, M3UA, SOAP, HTTP, HTTPS. LDAP, RTP other 3GPP Protocol.
• Good understanding of Linux environment.
• Experience of working on VNF/CNF technologies.
• Good understanding for Networking and cloud.
• Good communication skills
