Job Objective
Performs a variety of moderate to difficult CADD drafting assignments in the transportation sector using the Microstation application under limited to moderate supervision, and in accordance with the firm, client, and/or industry standards and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares near complete sets of engineering and construction drawings related to transportation infrastructure which may include multiple views, detail drawings, general arrangement/layout drawings where minimal information is provided by rough sketches and/or verbal outlines of requirements.
Preparation of Utility drawings such as utility corridor layouts, protection details, utility cross sections and NOC drawings.
Performs basic discipline related design tasks as directed.
Performs related CADD/technical support tasks such as plotting drawings, assembling drawing packages, preparing transmittals, preparing overnight packages, file management and/or filing prints, distributing drawings, making simple calculations, proofreading reports, coordinating PDR/EDR and/or specifications with drawings, etc.
Performs basic engineering calculations and decisions using accepted formulas and references, as needed and under direct supervision.
Supports field assignments as required.
References information from vendor prints, catalogs, technical manuals, etc.
Performs Other Duties As Required.
Skills and Abilities
Good communication skills with strict attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to be a team player and contributor to the overall team.
Possesses strong knowledge of MicroStation and basic knowledge of Revit/Civil 3D applications.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office for design-related tasks primarily within the CADD environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Degree/Diploma in Engineering.
3+ years of related experience in transportation or water infrastructure-related CADD drafting using Microstation, with experience in international projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Middle East/UAE projects.
Experience in preparing Utility drawings such as utility corridor layouts, protection details, utility cross sections and NOC drawings

Background Check and Drug Testing Information
