interior draftsman

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interior Draftsman to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings and plans for interior design projects. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural principles, proficiency in drafting software, and the ability to collaborate with designers and other stakeholders.

• Key Responsibilities:

Create detailed technical drawings and plans for interior design projects, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed joinery drawings.

• Collaborate with interior designers and architects to understand project requirements and design intent.

Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards, building codes, and regulations.

• Revise and update drawings based on feedback and changes in project scope.

Conduct site visits to take measurements and gather information as needed.

• Maintain accurate records of all drawings and project documentation.

Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and feasibility of designs.

• Assist in the preparation of presentation materials, including 3D renderings and visualizations.

Stay up-to-date with the latest drafting software, tools, and techniques.

• Participate in project meetings and provide input on design and construction issues.

• Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Interior Draftsman or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.

Strong understanding of architectural and interior design principles.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Knowledge of building codes and regulations.

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred.

• Relevant certifications or training in drafting and design software are a plus.
