Interior Designer

Interior Designer's Job Responsibilities:

• Researches, programs, plans, designs, and administers Interior projects for clients, applying knowledge of Interior design, Interior detailing, on site execution procedures, preparing mood boards, samples of materials and finishes samples.

Produces conceptual presentation, renderings, and documents like work schedule, order list, finishes list, BOQ (Bill of quantity) etc.

• Interaction with client & contractor for taking inputs and outputs, and explanation of drawings and details.

Produces construction documents in AutoCAD and Sketchup

• Working with the Project Manager, may direct supervise, and check activities of workers engaged.

Interaction with other Architects, Civil engineer and project managers for large projects.

• Works in tandem with highly collaborative multi-discipline design teams.

Assists in research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications.

• Interior Designer's Qualifications / Skills:

• Ability to provide elegant and efficient design solutions

Excellent oral and written communication

• Analytical and problem-solving skills

High attention to detail

• Ability to work under indirect supervision

Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability

• Comfortable with ambiguity and time spent outside of comfort zone acquiring new skills

Technically creative and open-minded

• Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master's degree/Diploma in Interior Design from an accredited institution (Architect's degree not required) Architects please don't apply for this job.

3+ years of Interior Design experience preferably within the hiring firm's field.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Vray, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office is required Expert in Revit and Lumion will be prefered.
